Anatomy of the Foot & Ankle
Bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscles harmoniously work together in your feet and ankles to allow the movement involved in walking, running, jumping, etc. The foot and ankle are intricate structures made up of more than 30 joints. When an injury or condition disrupts the normal functionality of any of these joints, it can result in pain, muscle weakness, and limited mobility.
What Is Your Foot Or Ankle Problem?
Treatment
Given the complex nature of the foot and ankle, personalized care and expertise are especially important when dealing with any related injury or condition. At TCO, our fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialists are dedicated to examining, diagnosing, and customizing treatment plans to meet the individual needs of our patients. Our goal is to restore both mobility and function to get you back on your feet, pain-free.
From non-operative care and in-office procedures for minor conditions to the latest surgical techniques for more complex disorders and injuries, whatever your treatment may be, you can expect compassionate care and technical expertise from our dedicated foot and ankle specialists — before, during, and after treatment.
An Uncompromised View in Foot & Ankle Diagnosis
TCO has the power and precision of pedCAT™. This computed tomography (CT) imaging technology helps our physicians evaluate and diagnose patients with precision and confidence. The pedCAT is the first in-office, ultra-low dose CT solution for the foot and ankle.
TCO can capture both feet simultaneously in a standing or seated position in under one minute or a partial single foot in 20 seconds. The full 3D volume is ready to view in less than three minutes.
Enhanced Diagnosis From Weight Bearing Views
Weight bearing 3D images overcome image distortion and superimposition presented in traditional weight bearing radiographs, while providing significantly more precise and detailed diagnostic information.
Ultra Low Dose CT Imaging
At virtually the same radiation dose as traditional 2D X-rays, a pedCAT scan emits 90 percent less radiation than a conventional medical CT scan. The pedCAT assesses a wide spectrum of clinical conditions including fractures, dislocations, arthritic joints, Lisfranc injuries, tarsal coalitions, osteomyelitis, flatfoot condition, metatarsalgia, hallux valgus, bone cysts, fused joints, etc.
