Jun Nelson, PT, DPT Orthopaedic Physical Therapist
About
I am a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with over 7 years of experience. I earned my doctorate at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), after earning my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington. I have treated athletes and active duty military personnel seeking to meet high fitness standards, great-grandparents hoping to play with their great-grandchildren while avoiding falls, and many other motivated individuals each with their own personal goals.
As a former collegiate swimmer who sustained an almost season-ending injury, I understand not only the physical, but also the emotional toll that injuries take, and how Physical Therapy can provide hope and healing. My goal is to empower every patient to overcome fears and other barriers to become more active and lead a more fulfilling life.
I value the role of encouragement and education, along with research-backed exercises and treatment techniques to not only overcome current injuries, but also prevent them in the future. This starts with listening to what my patients’ specific and individualized goals are, so that we can work together on successfully meeting them.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and baby, playing games, and staying active in as many ways as I can, including hiking and playing sports (golf, pickleball, volleyball, to name a few).
